Welcome to GreendaleDalescreek.com
Greendale’s early settlement history was closely bound up with that of Ballan and Blackwood. The area was considered a handy halfway place between the two townships was started shortly after the discovery of gold at Blackwood in the 1850's. Named Greendale, as it was quote as being “ …a beautiful hollow bounded by green hills with Dales Creek in the centre”.
Today Greendale is still a "beautiful little hollow bounded by green hills with Dales Creek in the centre". It makes an ideal location for those looking for a tree-change with the town centre of Ballan being only twenty minutes down the road, also being approximately an hours drive from the Melbourne CBD.
